Frequently asked questions

Answers about EDI and Azure integration.

Common questions from organisations planning electronic document exchange, trading-partner onboarding or modernisation of an existing EDI service.

What is EDI integration?

Electronic Data Interchange integration automates the exchange of structured business documents between systems. It can remove manual re-keying by translating documents such as purchase orders, invoices and dispatch notices into the format required by each organisation.

Can you connect QuickBooks, Xero and SAP Ariba?

Yes. We build integrations for QuickBooks, Xero, SAP Ariba and many other accounting, procurement, ERP, CRM and ecommerce platforms, subject to the interfaces and permissions available for the required system.

Which EDI and XML standards do you support?

We work with standards including ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT, cXML, SAP IDoc, xCBL, RosettaNet, UBL, OAGIS as well as custom XML and JSON structures.

Why use Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions?

Azure Logic Apps provides managed workflow and connector capabilities, while Azure Functions supports custom validation, transformation and business logic. Together they enable scalable cloud integration without relying on a single rigid message route.

How are trading partners connected?

Partners can connect through HTTPS, REST or SOAP APIs, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, AS4, OFTP2, webhooks, message queues, cloud storage or controlled email processes. The method is chosen to suit both organisations.

Can you replace or modernise an existing EDI solution?

Yes. We can assess existing mappings, partner connections and document flows, then plan a phased migration to an Azure-based integration service while reducing disruption to live business processes.
